“Oklahoma lawmaker proposes ‘Bigfoot’ hunting season” is the headline for this article on AP News.
In short, this guy wants to issue state hunting licenses and tags to help boost tourism. “Establishing an actual hunting season and issuing licenses for people who want to hunt Bigfoot will just draw more people to our already beautiful part of the state,” Humphrey said in a statement.
OK, first up is that this is just fricken stupid. He is inviting a bunch of people with guns who are looking for the $25,000 to be offered as a bounty by him. Someone will get hurt, most certainly. This is just stupid, no other word for it.

This blog has always stated “It’s about Bigfoot Finding not Hunting”. So I thought I’d dig into the Hunting versus Finding topic. And I think a simple way to make my point is to list various words that describe both sides of this Bigfoot coin. And yes they do make a Bigfoot coin! I had to google it, the one pictured above you can buy from Amazon here. OK, the list:

It has come to my attention from user pitter_patter_33 on the bigfoot subreddit that my post above is a knee jerk reaction without fully researching the topic. And that:
“the author of the bill sating the intent is not to shoot anything, rather only allow trapping. Even the article posted in this piece says it “Humphrey says his bill would only allow trapping and that he also hopes to secure $25,000 to be offered as a bounty.” The bill itself is vague and says to establish dates, licenses, and fees. The $25,000 (if they can raise that much) is for live capture.”
This is true and I stand corrected. But, I’m certain I’m not the only one that had a knee-jerk reaction and has and will act like a jerk.
