Stabilized Bigfoot Video

I’m not a big fan of the Patterson-Gimlin film or the myth surrounding it. But John Green did go check it out so it’s within my realm of possibility I guess.

This stabilized Bigfoot video does really change my view on the event. It makes me believe it even less. The “gait” that was there before is now gone. And you can really see the flex in the ankles and the foot now that are so very human. Even the turn to the right looks that much more human. This person in this suit does not carry their selves accordingly. This ain’t no Bigfoot in my humble opinion.

Bigfoot Trail Cam Trial Testing

As promised here is a follow up video of my first try using my home built Raspberry Pi trail cam. Here’s a link to the video of me walking through the design build: http://bigfootfinder.ca/2021/04/28/trail-camera-update/

The camera works pretty well and I was very lucky to get a good result on my first day of using it. But this is in part to good planning as I already knew that this area was a Bigfoot sighting hotspot due to my “Nature Photographer” spies and the gifting and baiting I had been doing leading up to this. I should do a gifting video next I guess.

The camera still needs upgrades like a bigger battery pack and speaker for creating baiting sounds.

Oh yeah, the video was taken in Sasquatch Park at the north end of the lake.

Casting Bigfoot prints in Plaster

I’ve been trying to do some of my first plaster casting of possible Bigfoot prints that I’ve found. This video was a good start for me. Some things I’ve learned and some things I still question:

  • Use bamboo skewers set into the back of the wet plaster to give more strength
  • Don’t fill very far past the edge of the print and don’t use that barrier he does. Seems to me to be a waste of plaster and makes it too heavy.
  • Mix in a ziplock bag for easy transportation of the mix to the site and easy cleanup.
  • Add a hanger wire into the wet plaster for easy wall mounting later.
  • Write your initials and date into the wet plaster. Using sharpee later is easy to read but can be sanded off or fade.
  • Does the hairspray trick work?
  • Does the talc powder trick work?
  • What about wet prints? What to do?
  • Do people actually wash the print after with water? Why? I just use a stiff brush to clean.

Rick Baker built it all

A record-holding winner of seven Academy Awards for Makeup, Rick Baker won the first competitive Oscar awarded in that category for his innovative work on An American Werewolf in London (1981). This is a great behind the scenes look at some of his iconic shots in the film.

And he builds the most amazing Bigfoot costumes. He’s the best in the world as far as I am concerned.
